SPPC invites bids for Taiba independent power project

Saudi Power Procurement Co. (SPPC) invited bidders to submit expressions of interest (EOIs) for the Taiba Independent Power Plant (IPP) as part of its plans to purchase energy to keep pace with the growing demand.

 

According to a company statement, the project will be a combined cycle gas-fired IPP with a net power capacity of 3,600 megawatts (MW).

 

The official deadline for receiving EOIs will be on Nov. 23, 2021.
