Middle East Healthcare Co. (Saudi German Health) announced the latest developments regarding the company's projects in Makkah, Riyadh and Dammam.

The company said in a bourse filing that completion rate of the Makkah Hospital stood at 85%, while the staff housing in Makkah and Dammam were 90% and 82% complete, respectively.

The company expects the Makkah Hospital to be completed by April 30, 2022, and the Dammam and Makkah staff housing projects to be finished by Dec. 31, 2021.

The Medical Tower and Inpatient Beds Expansion project at the Saudi German Hospital Riyadh is 70% complete, with expected completion date by March 31, 2022.

The reasons for delay in the expected completion dates arose from COVID-19 which impacted the delivery of materials and supplies at site.

There is no change in the cost of the projects, and there are no possible effects as a result of the delay on the company’s financials.

Latest developments regarding the projects will be announced in due course.

According to data compiled by Argaam, in August 2018, Saudi German Health signed contracts for the outpatient tower and inpatient beds expansion in Riyadh hospital, design and construction of the Makkah hospital, and the staff housing project in Makkah and Dammam.

The company expected the completion of the aforementioned projects on Aug. 4, 2021.
