HRSD Minister Ahmed Al-Rajhi
The Saudi Cabinet's decision to authorize the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) to manage the contractual relationship between facilities and workers aims to unify the data sources of private sector workers at the national level, HRSD Minister Ahmed Al-Rajhi said.
He added that the decision also aims to regulate the registration and documentation of contracts electronically for the labor market, Saudi Press Agency reported.
It also aims to achieve the principle of data reference and unification of sources of information, in accordance with the regulations and legislations of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence.
In addition, it targets lowering the rate of legal actions that take place between the two parties –facility and worker.
Furthermore, the decision seeks to enhance the level of accurateness in labor mapping and in decision making, which are necessary for advancing the national development process.
This is in addition to strengthening the contractual relationship between facilities and workers and documenting them electronically to maintain their respective rights, within the framework of clear governance for both sides, according to the minister.
The Saudi Cabinet, on Nov. 9, authorized the ministry to manage the contractual relationship between facilities and local and expat workers, according to Argaam's data.
The decision will apply to the management of the contractual relationship between facilities and workers, starting from registration and documentation of contracts to termination, including continuously updating career, payroll, qualification, salaries data, in line with approved standard classifications.
