The rate of localization in Saudi Arabia’s private sector rose by 0.96% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to 23.59% in the third quarter of 2021, data from the Human Resources Development Fund’s (Hadaf) National Observatory of Labor showed.
The number of Saudi workers (male and female) increased by about 60,000 during the same period.
Meanwhile, the number of Saudi private sector subscribers in social insurance, based on data of the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), grew by 3.41% to 1.83 million in Q3 2021, comprising 65.06% males and 34.94% females.
The increase in localization rates during the period is attributed to Hadaf’s efforts to develop and improve support and empowerment programs and initiatives directed at national forces.
Hadaf supported the employment of more than 200,000 young men and women to work in private sector during the first nine months of 2021.
