SABB appoints new board member

The Saudi British Bank’s (SABB) board of directors approved the appointment of Sulaiman Al-Gwaiz as an independent board member for the current three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2022, according to a bourse filing.

 

The Saudi British Bank’s (SABB) board of directors approved the appointment of Sulaiman Gwaiz as an independent board member for the current three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2022, according to a bourse filing.

 

SABB obtained the Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) approval on the appointment on Oct. 21.

 

Al-Gwaiz holds a BSc in business management from University of Portland, USA. He was the Governor of the General Social Insurance Corporation (GOSI) for nine years. Additionally, he held several executive positions in local banks.

 

The appointment will be presented at the next general assembly for ratification.
