The fifth edition of Future Investment Initiative (FII5) will begin today, Oct. 26 in Riyadh until Oct. 28, under the theme ‘Invest in Humanity’.
The FII launch this year coincides with the National Investment Strategy (NIS), which was recently unveiled by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as a key enabler of Vision 2030.
NIS will contribute to the Kingdom's economic growth and diversification, in line with Vision 2030 objectives, including raising foreign direct investments to 5.7% of gross domestic product (GDP).
The fifth edition will bring together more than 2,000 missions and 5,000 participants due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Participants will discuss ways to invest in clean water, education, public health, gender equality and fighting poverty, mainly in the countries that could not receive COVID-19 vaccines.
The FII fifth edition will launch several initiatives in healthcare, artificial intelligence, and social, environmental and educational governance.
It brings together leaders, policymakers, investors from across the world to devise solutions for societal challenges.
The conference agenda includes several plenary sessions about investment in education, metaverse, as well as environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards
