Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman opened the Middle East Green Initiative Summit in Riyadh, today, Oct. 25.
The summit comes after the Saudi Green Initiative Forum, which was launched on Saturday, Oct. 23.
The summit brings together prominent leaders and officials from the region and the world, with the aim of enhancing co-operation and unifying efforts towards implementing common environmental commitments.
Proceeding from the environmental commitments in the Saudi Green Initiative, the Kingdom will co-operate with neighboring countries to address the challenges of climate change beyond its borders.
Both initiatives aim to plant 50 billion trees in the region, and reduce carbon emissions by more than 10% of global contributions.
