Saudi Arabia will locally manufacture new hybrid cars and electric vehicles, Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said today, Oct. 24, during the Youth Green Summit.
It will also ensure providing safe car charge stations.
Moreover, the Kingdom will be able to generate electricity at the lowest cost worldwide, Prince Abdulaziz added.
The Riyadh Sustainability Strategy, which was launched on Oct. 23, on the sidelines of Saudi Green Initiative Forum, aims to raise the percentage of electric vehicles in the Saudi capital to 30% by 2030, Argaam reported.
