Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, said that the railway link between Dammam, Jubail and Ras Al-Khair is under construction and expected to open before the middle of next year.

In an interview with Al-Ekhbariya TV, the minister said there is a train network project inside Jubail to connect the city's huge factories to the ports in Jubail and Dammam and the national network.

He explained that the land bridge, representing rail link between western part of the Kingdom to the east, is one of the most important national strategic projects for transport and logistics.

Al-Jasser also pointed out that the bridge is a railway line linking Yanbu with King Abdullah Economic City, Jeddah port and Riyadh, where the project will include upgrading the existing line from Riyadh to the Eastern Province, as well as a number of logistics cities.
