Saudi Arabia licensed 92 new factories worth SAR 4 billion in August 2021, recent data issued by Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources showed.
The total number of factories that launched actual operations stood at 97.
The total number of existing and under-construction factories in the Kingdom reached around 10,159.
The total number of Saudi workforce in the industrial sector increased by 2,999 workers, while the number of expats rose by nearly 4,623 workers.

The ministry issued nearly 50 mining licenses in August, including 35 quarry licenses, 11 minerals detection licenses, and four exploration licenses, totaling 1,813 licenses during this period.
