RCJY, EV Metals ink agreement to set up battery chemical plant worth SAR 3.4 bln

 Headquarters of Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) 


The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) signed, today, Sept. 28, an investment agreement with EV Metals to establish and operate a plant for the production of electric battery chemicals, which include lithium, nickel, zinc, chromium, manganese and electric battery components.

 

The investment in this project is estimated at nearly SAR 3.375 billion.

 

The project, which will span 127 hectares, is expected to provide 494 job opportunities.
