The value of Saudi Arabia's real estate transactions grew by 19% to nearly SAR 15.59 billion in August-September 2021 (Muharram 1443 Hijri year), compared to SAR 13.12 billion in the same period last year, Ministry of Justice data showed.
The real estate deals rose by 32%, or SAR 3.76 billion, month-on-month (MoM).
The number of the real estate transactions during the same period stood at around 20,900, down from nearly 26,600 a year earlier. The number of properties sold also fell to 21,800.

Commercial deals rose 93% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 5.2 billion. Meanwhile, the value of residential deals declined by 6% YoY to SAR 9.09 billion. The agricultural deals were valued at nearly SAR 1.29 billion last month.
The residential deals represented 58.3% of total real estate deals last month, while commercial and agricultural deals represented 33.4% and 8.3%, respectively.

Riyadh was the most active city by value of residential and commercial transactions, witnessing an increase of SAR 6.88 billion in the real estate transactions. Jeddah took the second place with transactions worth SAR 2.21 billion in August-September 2021.
