Saudi Arabia says over 50% of citizens received 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine

Saudi Ministry of Health announced that it has administered 40.58 million doses to date. The total number of persons who received the first and second doses reached 23.02 million and 17.55 million, respectively. 

 

Those who received the second dose represent more than 50% of the Kingdom's population that reaches 35.01 million.

 

On Dec. 17, the ministry launched the first phase of COVID-19 vaccination campaign, followed by the second phase on Feb. 18.

 

The number of daily infections in the Kingdom is currently less than 100.
