Saudi Arabia records 85 COVID-19 cases on Thursday

Saudi Arabia recorded 85 COVID-19 cases today, Sept. 16, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 546,336, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 49, raising the total number of recovered cases to 535,309 (98% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

The Kingdom reported five new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,645.

 

Active cases totaled 2,382, of which 405 cases are critical.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 20, followed by Riyadh (19), Madinah and Eastern Province (9 each), and Al-Qassim (6).

 

The Kingdom conducted 49,550 new tests in the last 24 hours, while the total number of administered COVID-19 doses rose to 40.34 million.
