Saudi bank loans to public, private sectors rise 16% to SAR 2.034 trln in July

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors increased 16% by the end of July 2021 to SAR 2.0338 trillion, compared to SAR 1.749 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Private sector lending also rose 15% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.945 trillion for the same month.

 

Meanwhile, loans granted to non-financial public sector institutions amounted to about SAR 88.4 billion at the end of July, an increase of 36% YoY.
