The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) will allow full passenger seating capacity on domestic flights in Saudi Arabia, starting today, Sept. 1.
This is in coordination with the Ministry of Health and based on a condition of the immunization of all passengers with two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
Exemption from this condition will apply for groups that are not obligated to take the vaccine such as children under the age of 12 years or those exempted by the competent health authorities from taking vaccine on medical grounds.
The authority stressed the importance of continuing to comply with all preventive measures as per the domestic and international aviation protocols issued by Saudi Public Health Authority (Weqaya), including washing hands and wearing masks.
GACA announced resuming domestic flights gradually as of May 31, according to data compiled by Argaam.
