Al-Falih says 600 UK firms operate in Saudi Arabia, aspires to increase investments

Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment, said there are more than 600 British companies operating in the Kingdom, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

On the sidelines of his visit to the UK, Al-Falih added that the Kingdom aspires to increase the volume of British investments.

 

"Vision 2030 is an ambitious development plan that offers unprecedented investment opportunities for investors from governments, companies and individuals," he noted.

 

Saudi Arabia is keen to brief the UK about the huge available opportunities, as well as the major developments of the investment environment.

 

Al-Falih began an official visit to the UK, during which he will hold a series of meetings with officials in the public and private sectors as well as the major UK companies.

 

The visit aims to strengthen the mutual economic and investment ties, as part of the existing strategic partnership between the two countries, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.

 

In addition, Saudi Arabia aims to benefit from the UK experiences in the financial sector and green finance models, as well as explore the opportunities and capabilities of developing the main components of supply chains in the sectors of health and biology, advanced technologies, education, and human resource development. In addition, Saudi Arabia aims to attract the UK educational institutions and programs.
