Saudi Arabia records 542 COVID-19 cases on Sunday

Saudi Arabia recorded 542 COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 15, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 538,525, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 1,041, raising the total number of recovered cases to 523,050 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 7,063, of which 1,356 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 13 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,412.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 168, followed by Makkah (85), Eastern Province (62), Asir (48), Jazan (46), Al Qassim (40), and Madinah (28).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 69,300 new tests over the last 24 hours, and the total number of administered doses increased to 31.8 million.
