Saudi Vitrified Clay Pipe Co. (SVCP) announced the occurrence of a fire incident in the jointing department of its first factory on July 30, without any casualties, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

The incident led to temporary suspension of operation at the factory.

The company is currently investigating the causes of the accident and assessing the financial impact, in light of the insurance coverage, which covers the entire assets of the factory as well as the disruption of operations.

The factory is scheduled to resume operations in the other departments within the next three days.

SVCP also announced that operations at the second factory are continuing normally, which confirms its ability to fulfill the needs of its customers without any delays until the firm resumes work in the damaged department of the first factory.

Any essential details will be announced in due course, the statement said.
