Around 500 companies are gearing up to receive vaccinated foreign pilgrims wishing to perform Umrah from Aug. 10, Al Arabiya.net reported, citing Hani Al-Omairi, a member of the National Committee for Hajj and Umrah and the Hotels Committee in Makkah.

Foreign pilgrims will be subject to certain health and safety measures, he added.

Pilgrims will have access to more than 6,000 external Umrah agencies and about 30 websites and platforms to book their journey to perform Umrah.

Through online platforms, which are certified by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, pilgrims can purchase their entire program of travel, while Saudi Umrah institutions will provide other transportation and hotel services, he noted.
