Saudi Riyals
Credit facilities extended to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) rose by 40% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 188.4 billion in Q1 2021, data from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) showed.
Banks accounted for SAR 175.5 billion worth of credit facilities, or 93% of total financing. Facilities given by financing institutions stood at SAR 13 billion, or 7% of total credit facilities.
