Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services
Saudi Arabia’s newly-launched transport and logistics strategy targets investments of more than SAR 500 billion, according to Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services.
In a press conference on July 5, Al-Jasser said the strategy includes major projects and several initiatives in all modes of transport, indicating that it targets partnerships with the private sector, on local and global levels.
He further said that the strategy will drive all other sectors, including the industrial, commercial, tourism, as well as Hajj and Umrah.
On June 29, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman launched the national strategy for transport and logistics services. It aspires to increase the sector's contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) to 10% from 6% and boost its non-oil annual revenue to nearly SAR 45 billion in 2030, Argaam earlier reported.
