Saudi Arabia’s newly launched transport and logistics strategy mainly targets the citizens, according to Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh Al-Jasser.

In an event on July 5, the minister said that the new strategy seeks to directly and indirectly provide good job opportunities, maintain high-quality transport services, introduce more transport options locally and globally, and improve the user experience.

It will further ensure road safety, and reduce accidents by 50%, in line with the best international standards, to support quality life for citizens.

The strategy will also increase the transport sector’s contribution to the gross domestic contribution (GDP) to 10% and seek more partnerships with the private sector entities.
