Saudi Arabia’s newly launched transport and logistics strategy mainly targets the citizens, according to Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh Al-Jasser.
In an event on July 5, the minister said that the new strategy seeks to directly and indirectly provide good job opportunities, maintain high-quality transport services, introduce more transport options locally and globally, and improve the user experience.
It will further ensure road safety, and reduce accidents by 50%, in line with the best international standards, to support quality life for citizens.
The strategy will also increase the transport sector’s contribution to the gross domestic contribution (GDP) to 10% and seek more partnerships with the private sector entities.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman launched on June 29, the national strategy for transport and logistics services, which aims to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a global logistic hub, Argaam reported.
