Industry minister confirms clear strategy for every Saudi region, increasing exports globally

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, said that there is a clear strategy for every region in the Kingdom.

 

The government agencies, including the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, are contemplating how can they contribute to achieving these strategies, and benefit from the features and comparative advantages enjoyed by all regions of the Kingdom.

 

This will, in a way, serve the interest of the region and enhance its competitive advantage to be a development partner, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

Alkhorayef said that the Kingdom's plans, in accordance with the goals of Vision 2030, go beyond being only a consumer market, but rather expand exports globally.

 

Saudi non-oil products are currently present in more than 178 countries, he added.

 

The minister's statement came during a meeting organized by the Hail Chamber with a number of investors and businessmen.

 

Alkhorayef also indicated that the geographical location of Hail will help it connect the other regions of the Kingdom, as it enjoys many features, the most important of which is industry and mining. The region also has several capabilities, like the agricultural sector, which is a major support.
