Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology expects the e-commerce sector to grow to SAR 66 billion by 2030, Al-Eqtisadiah Newspaper reported.
The ministry said that it seeks to support the digitization of the Saudi society and the government, as well as to enable the growth of e-commerce.

By 2023, it aims to be among the top 30 countries in digital economy, and become a hub for digitally connecting continents.
According to data available in Argaam, the e-commerce sector grew significantly over the past years, registering an 817% increase in 2020, with 16,300 records, compared to 1,775 in 2015.
