The Ministry of Health building
The Saudi Ministry of Health will start inoculating young people aged 12 to 18 against COVID-19 with the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine following the approval of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA).
The move comes in line with the ministry’s efforts to expand the vaccination campaign, as 70% of adult population across the Kingdom received the COVID-19 vaccine. The ministry has recently started to give the second vaccine dose to those aged above 50.
The second dose program will cover the other age groups depending on the availability of the vaccine, the ministry added.
