Ministry of Interior Spokesperson Talal Al-Shalhoub
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior Spokesperson Talal Al-Shalhoub confirmed that vaccination against COVID-19 is a prerequisite to enter government and private offices, activities and events, as of Aug. 1.
During a press conference on COVID-19 updates, Al-Shalhoub said the decision includes attending any commercial, cultural, entertainment, sports, and economic activity, as well as any cultural, scientific, social or entertainment event. It also includes entering any governmental or private entity, whether for business or audit, in addition to the use of public transportation.
A total of 17,800 violations against the coronavirus precautionary measures were reported last week.
The Ministry of Interior earlier announced that vaccination is a prerequisite for participating in the events and entering the public and private facilities as of Aug. 1, 2021, Argaam reported.
