Alkhorayef says May indicators reflect investment progress in Saudi industrial sector

Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, said while commenting on the most important industrial indicators and figures for May 2021, that the figures are promising and positive, and reflect the progress of the investment environment in the Kingdom.

 

The month of May saw a marked increase in the number of small factories, which amounted to 75% of the total new licenses, Alkhorayef said on his official Twitter account.

 

He pointed out that the sector provided more than 4,000 jobs for Saudis in the same period.

 

Data released by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources revealed that the number of licenses for new factories in Saudi Arabia in May reached 59, with an investment of SAR 532 million, Argaam earlier reported.

 

Number of Saudis in the industrial sector increased by about 4,320 workers in May.
