Saudi Arabia records 1,309 COVID-19 cases on Thursday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,309 COVID-19 cases today, June 17, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 470,723, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 1,022, raising the total number of recovered cases to 452,209 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

The Kingdom reported 14 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 7,635.

 

Active cases totaled 10,879, of which 1,533 cases are critical.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 388, followed by Riyadh (265), Eastern Province (235), Asir (115) and Jazan (95).

 

The Kingdom conducted 94,920 new tests, bringing up the total number to 20.71 million.

 

More than 16.270 million doses have been administered to people in the Kingdom to date.
