Logos of Public Pension Agency and General Organization for Social Insurance
Saudi Cabinet’s decision to merge the Public Pension Agency (PPA) into the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) came in line with the Kingdom’s keenness to eliminate overlapping competences, ensure the optimal resource utilization, enhance the operational and financial efficiency, and improve client services.
The merger is an administrative and organizational process that aims to unify the insurance protection services for employees in the public and private sectors, according to PPA and GOSI.
It will also help fulfill the client aspirations to get the highest-quality services.
However, both institutions indicated that the merger decision will unlikely affect the disbursement of insurance payments or pensions.
The Saudi Cabinet approved on June 15, to merge PPA with GOSI, Argaam reported.
