Minister of Health, Tawfig Al-Rabiah
Saudi Arabia's Minister of Health Tawfig Al-Rabiah said that the administration of the second dose of COVID-19 vaccines will start when available in large quantities.
The Kingdom is keen on the availability of highly effective vaccines, the minister told Al-Arabiya TV, adding that 14 million persons received the first dose of the vaccine.
The ministry announced on April 10, 2021, delaying the second dose appointments and rescheduling them as the Kingdom aims to provide the first dose of the vaccine to a larger number of people, especially high-risk groups, Argaam reported.
The ministry recently said that the second dose of the vaccine will be available for people in age group of 60 years and plus.
