Expat remittances from Saudi Arabia rise 36% to SAR 13.3 bln in April 2021

Remittances from expatriates in Saudi Arabia rose by 36%, or SAR 3.5 billion, year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 13.3 billion in April 2021, according to recent data released by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Compared to March 2021, remittances from expatriates in Saudi Arabia declined around 5%, or SAR 770 million.

Meanwhile, remittances sent by Saudi nationals to other countries rose 67% YoY to SAR 4.94 billion in April.
