Saudi Arabia records 1,047 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,047 COVID-19 cases today, May 18, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 435,027, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 847, raising the total number of recovered cases to 419,761 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 8,078, of which 1,384 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 14 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 7,188.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 326, followed by Makkah (250), Eastern Province (122), Asir (73), and Madinah (70).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 73,930 new tests, bringing the total number of laboratory tests to 18.11 million.

 

Almost 11.93 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
