MIS, Abunayyan ink MoU with Mobily to establish green data center

Al Moammar Information Systems (MIS) and Abunayyan Holding Group signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) today, April 26, 2021, to cooperate on establishing a green data center in Saudi Arabia that will use clean and sustainable energy sources, according to a bourse filing.

 

The MoU aims to enhance mutual coordination, based on integration and equality, to sustain the synergies between the three entities in their areas of expertise to fully provide operational clean and sustainable energy.

 

Updates in this regard will be duly revealed, the statement added.

 

In February, Al Moammar announced signing a non-binding MoU with Abunayyan Holding Group to establish a 50:50 joint venture (JV), which will explore the feasibility of building and developing green data centers based on renewable energy in the Kingdom, data compiled by Argaam showed.

 

The MoU was signed to provide a general framework to facilitate cooperation between the two parties to launch the JV.
