Saudi Arabia’s Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) announced that 176 Saudis and expats were arrested, while 700 others are under investigation.

This came as the agency continues its crackdown against fraud, bribery and other crimes during the month of Sha'ban.

Among those incarcerated were government employees from ministries and state-owned entities charged of bribery, abuse of influence and power, as well as fraud and forgery, the authority said in a statement.

The regulatory measures are being finalized to refer those arrested to the court.

Nazaha continues to ask citizens to protect and preserve public funds and report any suspicious financial or administrative activities.
