Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors increased 15% by the end of February 2021 to SAR 1.898 trillion, compared to SAR 1.6498 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).
Private sector lending also rose 15% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.826 trillion for the same month.
Meanwhile, loans granted to non-financial public sector’s institutions amounted to about SAR 71.7 billion at the end of February, an increase of 25%, compared to the same period in 2020.
