OPEC+ cautious stance ‘proved right’, continues to fulfill market needs: Prince Abdulaziz

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman

OPEC+ oil producers have taken a cautious stance but the market's recovery is far from complete, Saudi Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, said on the sidelines of the OPEC+ meeting today, April 1, 2021.

 

“Last month, we called for a cautious and restrained approach and fortunately we were proved right by subsequent events,” the minister stated.

 

Prince Abdulaziz indicated that OPEC+ countries should maintain this approach until recovery is reached, adding that OPEC+ is fulfilling the market needs and will work on finding solutions.
