The launch of “Made in Saudi” program enhances the Kingdom's position as a leading industrial powerhouse, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Suliman Almazroua, chief executive officer of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP).

 

Almazroua stressed the importance of the project as one of the pivotal initiatives of NIDLP program, indicating that it aims to enhance the culture of loyalty to national products, and to make the Kingdom a leading industrial power through creating a unified identity to market national goods and products to become a competitive option both locally and internationally, and contribute to achieving economic diversification and increasing the gross domestic product (GDP).

 

He also pointed out that NIDLP, since its launch, has sought to support local products through a large number of initiatives and empowerment packages, in addition to raising the level of localization in a group of promising industries. The program also works to support existing industries, the CEO said, adding that the initiatives to raise the local content are achieving profit for a number of projects worth over SAR 18 billion.

 

On March 28, 2021, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources launched “Made in Saudi” program, according to data compiled by Argaam.
