Saudi Arabia took several measures during the outbreak of coronavirus, including the launch of vaccination campaigns, to protect people, especially pilgrims, Al Ekhbariya TV channel reported, citing Abdulfattah Mashat, deputy minister of Hajj and Umrah.
He added that the ministry is currently preparing for Ramadan Umrah season through strictly implementing the precautionary measures issued from the Ministry of Health or the other regulating entities.
Mashat confirmed that there is an e-system that operates in an integrated manner with the concerned authorities, noting that the ministry will track Tawakkalna (Covid-19 KSA) app to ensure that the workers serving the pilgrims receive the coronavirus vaccine.
