Dallah Healthcare Co.’s increase in hospital bed capacity and active operation of clinics will positively impact the company’s performance starting 2021, chairman Tarek Othman Alkasabi told Argaam in an exclusive.

The total bed capacity in its hospitals reached 901, compared to 600 beds at the end of 2020 before the recent acquisition. It also has a network of 495 clinics.

The inclusion of the operating expenses as a result of additional new capacities and the recent acquisition weighed on the company’s Q4 2020 results, said Alkasabi.

He added that revenues from the acquired hospital did not reflect in Q4 2020 financials, as the acquisition was completed at the end of the last quarter.

The company allocated SAR 9 million provisions for some debtors who have been dealings with the hospital and face difficulties in repaying their loans due to the pandemic.

The healthcare services provider reported a drop of 32% in net profit before Zakat to SAR 100.1 million for 2020, from SAR 146.9 million a year earlier, Argaam reported.
