The MoU will further strengthen the logistics sector with the provision of more complementary and facilitating services for the production and operation activities in industrial cities, Saudi Press Agency reported.

Trial phase will commence in first, second and third industrial cities in Dammam and Al-Ahsa Industrial City, Modon's director general Khalid Al Salem said.

SAPTCO chairman Khaled Al-Mudaifir said that the company is fully committed to providing the various and up-to-date transport services and solutions through developing concepts using top-notch methods.

He further added that this will be achieved through offering resilient and accessible digital services by means of launching ride-sharing transport and self-driving vehicles, in accordance with the strategy in line with Vision 2030.

SAPTCO's ride-sharing transport service, which was rolled out recently, offers an innovative means for moving within cities in vehicles that are equipped with the latest technologies for comfort and safety, Al-Mudaifir noted.
