Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry & Mineral Resources.
Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and chairman of the Saudi Exports Development Authority (SEDA), Bandar Alkhorayef, will launch “Made in Saudi” program on March 28, 2021, under the sponsorship of the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The program aims to support national products and services at the local and global levels, according to Saudi Press Agency.
The “Made in Saudi” program comes out of the interest and keenness of the Crown Prince in supporting the national product, and strengthening its role in light of the high-quality and competitiveness of national products at the regional and global level.
The program also affirms the increased awareness and confidence in the national product and local factories at various levels.
The program will be launched through a virtual event during which the “Made in Saudi” logo will be unveiled, which provides a unified and official identity for all Saudi products and services.
The launch will be then followed by a press conference held by the minister to highlight the program's plans, goals and mechanism of action.
Last November, SEDA said that the program will contribute to stimulating investments within the industrial sector in the Kingdom, which will strengthen the sector's position on the world map; enable Saudi products to compete locally, regionally and globally; and enhance its role in increasing the Kingdom's non-oil exports from 16% to 50% of non-oil GDP by 2030, according to data compiled by Argaam.
