Saudi Arabia administers over 500,000 COVID-19 doses: official

Muhammed Al-Abdulaali, spokesperson for the Saudi Ministry of Health, said that more than 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered across the Kingdom.

 

The Kingdom is targeting to administer more doses, Al-Abdulaali added in the periodical media briefing held today, Feb. 18, 2021.

 

“The ministry is tracking the curve of new cases with extreme agility. We’ll continue to be on the positive trend if we adhere to the precautionary measures,” he added, affirming that all vaccines administered across the Kingdom are safe and effective.

 

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) authorized today the use of the British AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine, developed in cooperation with the University of Oxford, Argaam reported.
