The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) decided to Saudize the remote customer service jobs, whether through direct or indirect contracts.

The decision came in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), which contributed to supporting and identifying the private companies that will benefit from the decision, HRSD said in a statement.

The ministry added that the decision includes work contracts and service outsourcing agreements, under which employers provide the services remotely.

Moreover, the move targets all remote professions and jobs offered in customer service centers through phone, e-mail, chat, social media, direct contact, and others.

The decision aims to create more job opportunities for Saudis and help improve their income levels, in addition to supporting the Saudi economy and gross domestic product (GDP) in line with the Vision 2030.

The ministry said that it will cooperate with the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) to provide several training and support programs for customer service staff through training channels such as Tamheer and Doroob
