ROSHN, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), signed a strategic partnership with Siemens to set up electricity transmission plants in the first phase of its Riyadh community development.

The company said on Twitter that this partnership includes the establishment of a 380/132/13.8 kilovolts (kV) main central transmission plant, as well as a 13.8/132 kV substation, laying ground cables to connect the new plants to the existing network of 380 and 132 kV, within paths exceeding 34,000 linear meters.

The company announced in November it awarded a contract to Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast to construct 3,000 homes, along with associated utilities, roads and landscaping.

PIF announced in August, 2020 launching ROSHN as a new company specialized in developing world-class integrated urban communities across the Kingdom.
