Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance Co. amended its name to Gulf Union Alahlia Cooperative Insurance Co., following its merger with Al-Ahlia for Cooperative Insurance Co. and after obtaining required regulatory approvals, the firm said in a bourse filing today, Dec. 30.
The two companies recently announced the effectiveness of the merger resolution, pursuant to which all assets and liabilities of Al-Ahlia will be transferred to Gulf Union by issuing new shares with no outstanding unsatisfied creditor objection, according to available with Argaam.
