Saudi bank loans to public, private sectors rise 16% to SAR 1.832 trln in November 2020

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors increased 16% by the end of November 2020 to SAR 1.832 trillion compared to SAR 1.585 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Private sector lending also rose 15% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.755 trillion for the same month.

 

Meanwhile, loans granted to non-financial public sector’s institutions amounted to about SAR 77.3 billion at the end of November, an increase of 34% compared to the same period in 2019.
