Southern Province Cement Co.’s board of directors named Ahmed Abdul Karim Al-Luhaidan as chairman of the audit committee effective from Dec. 29, 2020, the company said in a bourse statement.
The decision came following the resignation of the audit committee’s chairman, Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Nabat, after his status changed from an independent member to a non-executive member.
Al-Luhaidan works as the CEO of Arabian Pipes Co. and has 32 years of experience as a technical analyst, technical advisor, team leader and sector manager. He held several consulting and administrative positions and supervised projects management, studies and consultations, which provide advisory, technical and marketing services to clients, the statement added.
The decision is pending approval from the company’s general assembly.
