Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef
“Made in Saudi” program will be launched at the beginning of 2021, and aims to convey a positive image of the Kingdom's products domestically and internationally, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, said during the Budget Forum 2021.
The project is very important and seeks to strengthen citizens and residents’ attachment to the Saudi product, to enhance the loyalty of citizens and residents, whether individuals or companies, to prefer the local product over others. It also aims to create a positive impression of Saudi products, the minister said in response to a question by Argaam.
He explained that the ministry is building on a strong base, as the Kingdom's exports are popular and receive strong turn-out from consumers in most countries worldwide, thanks to the high quality, good prices and efficiency of Saudi companies in serving customers outside the Kingdom.
Merchants and exporters in the Kingdom have a high sense of responsibility and honesty, Alkhorayef indicated, noting that there are many international brands. The ministry is seeking to take advantage of these aspects to come up with a clear message on how to deliver the product.
Assessing the role of local industries during the pandemic period, he said that the Kingdom is one of the last countries that suffered shortage of supplies, as the industrial sector showed a positive response with a strong base.
