The Saudi budget for 2021, which was announced on Dec. 15, gave a special focus to the industry and mineral resources sector, in line with the sector objectives as outlined in Vision 2030, Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, told Asharq TV.
Alkhorayef said that outlook is bullish as the budget will give further momentum for the development process, especially in the industry and mineral resources sector.
He also stressed that the ministry is committed to launching the mineral investment law in early 2021, noting that it has started to enforce a large number of the law provisions.
"Saudi Arabia will be in the forefront of countries in terms of the fourth industrial revolution. It has rolled out a plan to boost the capacity of 100 factories affiliated to Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technical Zones (MODON) since the start of this year," Alkhorayef said.
He also noted that there are huge available opportunities, especially for entrepreneurs.
